Woodland snake
19th of January 2020. It’s quite grey around in January, especially if there’s no snow, and the days are dull and overcast. Yet there’s a place, where you can still find some color. It’s the forest. That’s where I went to look for something to shoot that day.
After wandering around a little bit, I stumbled into an old wooden bunker of Lithuanian partisans that was actively used after the second world war. And next to that place, on hilly terrain, I noticed those strange green tree roots. The whole area felt somehow weird, but I couldn’t leave it without a shot.
In retrospect, I could spend more time there and be more attentive, cause the shots I took were a bit too wide, and I had to crop it quite heavily to remove various distractions from the frame. Despite that, all the rest of the story is in the image (f/11.0 12 mm 2 sec. ISO 100).
