Colors of the memories

If you’d have to paint your warmest memories, what colors would you choose?

I remember that day. It was a day when my daughter was taking the driving license test. I knew I’ll have about an hour, so I grabbed the camera, just in case. We went to the place early in the morning. I let her out and drove to the little lake nearby. I know that place very well. It’s just a couple of minutes from where I live, and it’s the place where I started my photography. But what a morning I found there… The pure white milky mist was hovering above the water, and the early sun was painting the sky above it.

I came across this shot before leaving. I’ve spotted that plant on my way back, and composition immediately fell in place. The remnants of the mist were still hovering above the water, while the sky was shining with its warmest colors. The shot was simple and easy. It’s one of those shots when you don’t have to think much.

Glad I took my camera that day.
